James T. Fields — 3 Feb. 1863

To JAMES T. FIELDS
February 3, [1863], Wheeling

My dear friend

Will you alter the title of that story from The Gurneys to ‘Paul Blecker?’ and will you ask Annie to dye those brown eyes hazel—if she will,—for me? Mine were dozing very often as I wrote – Do you freeze in Boston? It is bitter cold here to-day. Seven degrees below zero— It makes the very blood electric—

Remember me to Annie, as always & --

Yours sincerely
R.B.H.
